Ashbel Olmsted account book, 1796-1832.

Account book first used for ships' accounts (1796-1799) and later used by Ashbel Olmsted of East Hartford, Connecticut (1825-1832). Contains accounts for the sailing master, surgeon, surgeon's mate, purser, captain's clerk, a midshipman, and a few others, but with few details. Olmsted's entries are for cash received for taxes and debts paid for food and household items.
